[...Well, that's finally some good news at least. You have absolutely no idea just how relieved your student feels upon getting this message, Terra! Better prepare yourself for a long talk; there is a lot to tell.]
We need to talk. Meet me in the men's bathing room tomorrow (the 3rd). Make certain you aren't followed. If need be, throw this deku nut on the ground to stun and blind the retrieval unit momentarily. It will create a bright flash of light, so close your eyes when you do.
Riku smiles thinly as he burns the letter with blue-black flames - better safe than sorry - and then stores the deku nut in his coat pocket. He won't need it; he has somehow managed to stayed under the radar of the administrators and even then he'd have other methods to lose them... but who knows when this gift might become handy.]
[There are only two things written on an otherwise blank sheet of paper: a single line of text in the middle and a two-word prompt in the bottom right corner.]
How do you make a tissue dance? (Turn over -->)
[The little arrow compels you! Do it, do it!]
Put a little boogie in it!
Being the sharp tack that you are, I'm sure you noticed that somebody cranked up the crazy level a little bit this month. I'm sure with as long as you've been here, you're used to this sort of thing by now. But I think you will agree with me that this is a little off-par for the crazy course here. The truth was a whole new level of disturbing all its own. But I didn't send you this note to focus on all the tower bullshit. The last thing I want is to focus on that more than everyone already does.
My real purpose was to remind you not to give up, a thought I'm sure you came to on your own already, Riku. The truth is always better than a lie, even if the lie is really pretty and the truth looks something more like the backside of the most disgusting animal you can think of. But this isn't the end, no matter what Ruana says. Maybe she's right, maybe the end will be in a year. Maybe she's wrong and it'll be sooner than that. Or perhaps it will take us even longer to claim our ending. I don't know, I'm not psychic after all. But I do know that giving up isn't an option, which like I said: I'm sure you already knew. We're going to write our own ending to the story of this tower, and it's going to be much better than anything Ruana could possibly write up.
Everything is going to be ok. So don't lose hope, don't give up, and most importantly: don't forget how to smile.
-Hermes
[Unfortunately, John doesn't know the two Rikus well enough yet to have drastically different things to say to them. So if they compare notes, they will find that they are exactly the same save for the joke.]
[Riku blinks and shakes his head after reading the message - he has no idea who Hermes is, he doesn't recognize the handwriting, but he does appreciate he message.
Hermes is right, he knows that the truth is better than the lie, that giving up is about the last thing anyone of them should even think of, that they will (need to) decide their own fate by themselves.
A year is short, yet long enough - a time frame that is definitely manageable.
He burns the note once he's read it, as he does with every message addressed to him that is remotely related to anything that might be considered rebellion - better safe than sorry and the longer as he isn't openly associated to the Resistance, the longer he'll have the option to move about freely and he is very intent to make use of that.
The message has more than archived its purpose after all, it has made him smile.
Even though, he still wonders just who Hermes is.]
Riku, I want to learn how to block spells and attacks with more than just my keyblade. With everything that's happened recently, I think it's a good idea. You're the only one I know who can, so do you think you can teach me?
[Well, isn't that the most mysterious note? Very similar to his own handwriting on top of that, which narrows the list of possible senders down to three. And there's really only one that would send him something like this.
Riku frowns down at the note for a moment, before he clenches a fist around the paper and lets it burst into black-blue flames (it's a habit by now), before he moves to take the second part literal and summons Way to the Dawn to tap the door twice and lock the room down completely.
He then dismisses the blade again, before sitting down on his bed. Time to wait and see what Ira has to tell him.]
[Sob he tried so hard to be ~*~mysterious~*~ too, but he doubts that it'd do much when it comes to talking to his still taller ( >:( ) real counterpart. Still, it was worth a try, and lurking in the back of the room has become so much of a habit since he'd been locked in with those guys that it wasn't so odd anymore.
At least he took the second part literally. That was a plus.]
Glad I left that part obvious.
[Because while he'd kept his mouth shut on the more important details, he didn't trust doors to not, you know, let in unwanted guests.]
They met again. For some reason they seem keen on still inviting me after someone set a certain doctor on fire.
[The real thing has done ~*~mysterious~*~ a lot since Castle Oblivion, so it might still take a bit of practice until Ira can get him that way.
Riku shoots him a shrug and a small smirk before walking over to his bed, sitting down on it.]
Knowing Ganondorf that just might have given you plus points.
[Not that he knows whatever relationship Ganon has with that doctor, but proof of ruthlessness always comes good with those types. He knows that better than anyone.]
[Riku chuckles lightly; he can't help but think of a certain collection of people with worst intentions in mind he had once upon a time agreed to work with back home.]
I'm not surprised. Those kinds of constellations tend to be volatile, even if there's a firm hand in charge.
[And undoubtedly Ganondorf is just as intent on keeping his ducks in row as Maleficent had been.]
Well, those have always been their target.
[The play is old and Riku is almost surprised that Ganon is aiming at it again. ...Though he supposes it has been a year since the last time.]
[You seriously don't know how many times those memories have bugged him in his time sitting in on those meetings, or how he's imagined Sephiroth with a serpentine scepter instead of Masamune. Seriously why is he in those meetings again? ...Right.]
I know. The fact that they're low on ideas otherwise is a little unnerving. As for their next move... they are indecisive. Ganondorf himself is refusing to start the next campaign, likely hoping one of the others will act instead.
[Whether that will be so or not... well, they all know the hero population of the tower well enough.]
Right now they seem more focused on the explosions: namely what caused them.
[Well, that's an entertaining picture at least, though considering the rumors about him back home, Sephiroth levels probably far above Jafar in competence. ...But then again, he did have that screen smashing fit when they investigated Riki's room (and Riku will always maintain that while he undoubtedly set things off with his semi-successful Keyblade-hack, the screen smashing didn't help them any either). Anyway.
He hums thoughtfully at Ira's words, arms crossing loosely, one hand reaching up to touch against his chin.]
...That's interesting. Is he out of ideas himself or do you think he might be holding back for a particular reason?
[Because if he is... well, Riku isn't particularly interested to get himself or Ira involved in any infighting of this group, it's still a good idea to keep an eye on it, if there is any.]
[It still beats Oogie Boogie. Everything beats Oogie; even his own roulette.]
Likely just hasn't thought of anything yet. I'll give the lull until someone attacks one of the other members or something before he thinks of the next plot and lashes out.
[And considering what he did to Ryoji and whoever protected him? He would not be surprised in the least if that happened or the members of Pandora outlive their usefulness to his plans.]
I'm not sure if I should find that comforting or concerning.
[On the one hand there is no need to worry about any schemes right at this moment, but on the other... Riku can't help but feel wary when things are getting too quiet.
He is however just waiting for the day that Ganondorf makes another attempt to a take over of the tower, that he calls for a loose alliance like back in July, only to stab them in the back in the last second. If/When it happens, it come a surprise, to him at least, but admittedly... Riku does have some experiences with allying with elements of evil that most of their 'faction' have not.]
Do they have any information about what caused those that we don't?
[Well... Riku may or may not have some information on that his mun isn't quite sure, btu well if he does... he prefers to play his cards close to his chest for now.]
[The letter is a bit shakily written, with occasional crossings-out]
Riku,
I think wneed want to talk to you about some of the things I saw in that mirror. And also I want to talk about some other things that have happened lately. Is there any way we can meet up soon?

More than likely. They've been getting along worse than Sora and anyone in the Organization back in Castle Oblivion.
[Eyeroll, though he won't lie and say it wasn't fun doing so.]
...They're planning their next move. I can't say much, but they'll be targeting the more naive and newcomers.
